One Hundred Years of Solitude saves its real ending for a feature-sized finale

One Hundred Years of Solitude has spent two seasons making repetition feel inevitable: names return, desires return, mistakes return. Netflix is giving the last repetition some extra room. Instead of releasing the entire second half at once, the adaptation holds back its final chapter until August 26, when Laura Mora delivers a special episode designed during pre-production as something closer to a feature film than a standard television installment.
